Headband in chains

Super cute and easy project to do. Use absolutely any yarn you have lying around. You can make this as fast and loose as you like. Great for when you're binging your favourite show and want something to do with your hands.

Headband in chains

Materials

I used a superfine printed cotton yarn. You can replace the yarn with any other type, but you should adjust for length if you do :) 3.0 mm hook. A tapestry needle to weave in ends.

Terminology

Ch Chain Dc Double crochet

Instructions

Row 1 Ch 3, 2 dc in first ch from the hook.

Row 2 Ch 2 and turn. Dc in each dc (2)

Rows 3-11 Repeat row 2

Row 12 Ch 2 and turn. 2 dc in each dc (4)

Row 13 Ch 2 and turn. 2 dc in first dc, 2 dc, 2 dc in the last dc (6)

Row 14 Ch 2 and turn. Dc across (6)

Row 15 2 dc in first dc, 4 dc, 2 dc in the last dc (8)

Row 16 Ch 2 and turn. Dc across (8)

Row 17 2 dc in first dc, 6 dc, 2 dc in the last dc (10)

Row 18 Ch 2 and turn. Dc across (10)

Fasten off. And make another one. Don't fasten off this time, but get ready to chain!

Chain-row 1 Ch100, sl into any of the stitches on row 18 on the first end-piece you made. The more you criss-cross your chains, the better. If you prefer a more polished look, you can attach them side-by-side.

Chain-row 2 Ch100, sl into any of the stitches on row 18 on the second end-piece you made.

Repeat chain-rows 1 and 2 6 times (or until your headband is as thick as you want it). Fasten off and weave in your ends.
